The End of the Beginning

Posted in Announcements, Uwe Boll on January 29th, 2010 by Robert Shea

Welcome to Video Game Pulse. This may only be the start of something great to come, but I invite you to read on … wait a minute… this all sounds very familiar! Now I remember, We’ve already said all this introduction crap before. It’s been four years since my last post and there is a VERY good reason why.

Four years ago my domain expired and I wasn’t paying attention and it got sold in an auction and when I requested the domain back, the person wanted $20,000 for it; Who knew my domain was so valuable. Well, I finally got the domain back after that user let it expire; I guess it’s not all that valuable. Bottom line is this. If someone wants to buy this domain for $25,000 (inflation included) just shoot me an email.

I kid though, I am very excited to get back into writing video games news and I’m going to start off by reporting on myself! While I was importing all the old articles one by one I was reading some of the crazy things I was saying back in the day … heck, one article is even called “A Look into The Year 2010“. I’m also really excited to go back and review more of Uwe Boll’s movies now that more have been released; here is my take on House of the Dead.

8 Miles to Detroit Hawk City!

Posted in Announcements, PS3 on January 22nd, 2006 by Robert Shea

Out of the ordinary post here, but I will attempt to tie it in with gaming. It seems as though my home football team is going to the Super Bowl for the VERY first time ever! They have made it to the NFC once before in 1983, only to lose it! I’m not really that big of a football fan myself, I enjoy playing backyard football with some friends, and watching the game every once in awhile, but I’m not a die-hard fan. The Seahawks changed my perspective of how much fun the game of football really can be, and makes me wish I had tried out in high school for the sport. I guess I just spent too much time with games and computers; I have no regrets though.

I had a great time cheering on Seattle as the 12th man. Shawn Alexander, Matt Hasselbeck and team will head to Detroit to play in Super Bowl XL against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Detroit Hawk City is what the fans are calling the Super Bowl, Pittsburgh vs. Seattle! In about two weeks my team will make history, whether they lose or win! So stay tuned to the game, and see the final results. Oh I promised to tie this into gaming, so here is your moment of Zen! Madden NFL NEXT GEN (PS3)
